Peer Review #1

Hello everyone,

Today I will be talking about referencing and citation, for me referencing is looking at another work and getting an idea out of it not necessarily copying it. As for citation, it is when you give the website credits by putting their article in research, essentially what these two thus is that they give the author credit and allow us to get more detail if we find a certain article interesting.

There is an article that piqued my interest as well as change my perspective on things. One of them was called seven ways to crush self-doubt by John Spencer. He said that “Self-doubt can crush confidence” (Seven ways to crush self-doubt by John Spencer- November 11, 2019) which is true as for example me, I doubt myself all the time “Do they like me? Did I do something wrong? Is it worth the risk?” all those questions and more linger in my head which can sometimes ruin my creative thinking as well as decision thinking as I tend to not take risk nor accept failure. What stood out to me in one of those tips was the first, fourth and seventh step as those are the ones, I can relate to which was to not compare yourself with other people, I tend to compare myself because they are better than me and I realise I must stop doing that because it hurts me in a creative and emotional way, fourth one said be vulnerable to a trusted community in this he mentioned that about growth mindset “”There’s a quote from Dweck in Mindset that I think fits in well with creativity, doubt and positive risk-taking. “Everyone is born with an intense drive to learn. Infants stretch their skills daily. Not just ordinary skills, but the most difficult tasks of a lifetime, like learning to walk and talk. They never decide it’s too hard or not worth the effort. Babies don’t worry about making mistakes or humiliating themselves. They walk, they fall, they get up. They just barge forward. What could put an end to this exuberant learning?” (Seven ways to crush self-doubt by John Spencer- November 11, 2019) and the seventh one which is to trust yourself, which I have a hard time when I can’t trust other people as much.

Anyways I did review two blogs, both blog posts are good but, in my opinion, both lack the element of citation and referencing which they should do the next time, they answered every question and addressed the audience. referencing and citation is just a minor issue that can be fixed. And I have learned how to structure my blog post better. The other blog I have read was not bad however this person had to cite their information and have reference, so like have sources of where they got their information and add image to the blog post for both the blogs I have read.
